The idea for Lynley Kayes occurred whilst serving a beautiful afternoon tea to a group of friends. It was something a little different, relaxing and quite genteel. I knew others would enjoy it as much as we had!

Combining a life-long passion for food which has seen me cooking in a café, cooking and organising functions for family and friends on many fun filled occasions, together with my background in hospitality organizing wedding receptions has bought me to a point in my life where I am able to fulfill a long- held dream – the emergence of Lynley Kayes.

I believe there is a place for a caterer specialising in small occasions – whereas most caterers have minimum number requirements I am more than happy to make just one dessert for example. Of course, I am equally  happy to make dessert for fifty! I am combining another of my loves – delicate English Bone China, Lacy Linen, Silver and Glassware – which I have been collecting for years, to be able to offer for hire a selection of beautiful vintage items, to make your function gorgeous.
